ABOUT CLAIRE
With a background in in the travel industry and the military, the transition into event management and moving groups of people around the world seemed a natural progression.

Over the years I have been responsible for many events - small executive meetings in the UK, long haul incentive trips, exhibition stands in Europe and multi language sales conferences at sea. I have travelled extensively and visited some of the most amazing destinations, both overseas and in the UK. There have been some dramas along the way, a funeral pyre blocking access to the airport, fog causing champagne cork havoc during a forest picnic in Rio, clients without luggage, broken limbs after one drink too many and, heaven forbid, the wrong colour tights for the evening dress code. With some 30 years experience, there has not been a disaster I have been unable to resolve or a brief I have not been able to find a solution to.

Amayzed arrived on the scene following my redundancy from a large incentive house in 2009. At that point, with a family and dog to look after, I decided to concentrate on UK based events to ensure a work life balance.

I threw myself into local events – covering maternity leave to help manage the Alresford Music Festival and introducing a new family area to the event, the full event management of Alresford Watercress Festival, where some 18,000 people attend a one day food orientated festival. I organised numerous charity balls, roadshows, sports festivals and local fund raising events. During this time I delivered conferences, seminars and expos for committee led associations. Over the years I have fined tuned the necessary skills for dealing with their unique requirements, supporting them with diary management, member communications, website management, production, research and social media.

As the Covid pandemic hit, the skill set developed in providing this business support created a second arm to Amayzed. There has been a need for businesses and associations to increase their digital communications/support their members, as well as a growth in brave new start up businesses who needed administration support.
"I love to help and I love a list - and in this strange time my natural skill set seems to have found a niche in helping other businesses grow and develop."
